Anavila Misra known for her Linen Sarees styles, this Lakme fashion week 2017 winter festive season looked very intriguing as she added the whole new flavour of minimalistic designs and the greys.

A sought after name in conscious luxury wear, Anavila, closes Sustainable Fashion Day at Lakme Fashion Week with her Autumn Winter collection, Blur.

The enormous wrought-iron gates opened to a solely lit, graveled pathway, set between a peaceful garden. It was as if the gates secretly opened after hours, for a romantic rendezvous under the dark skies on a winter night.

Intriguing music filled the space as the models walked down the pathway in deep olive ensembles, reflecting the hidden greens of the lush, floral garden. The collection built up the colour with brown, wine, deep blue and gray as the music moved to stronger notes.

Burgundy stained lips and upheaval hairdos added a sense of fervent passion into the look.

To complement her designs, Anavila crafted beautiful handmade bags that can double as slings. Leafy motifs in silver and gold accessorized the garments in a minimalistic manner.

The key styles and colors we spotted at the show were a whole new color palette on saris, trench coats, jackets, pleated trousers and trouser suits. She brings the Delicate floral patchwork, Khatwa, and hand-block printing breathed romance into the collection.

The music peaked its intensity to welcome black in the fluid, flirtatious and feminine forms. Sustainable Fashion Day at Lakme Fashion Week concluded by romanticizing a black as the night collection, a beautiful surprise by Anavila.

According to Anavila

"Blur is my expression that brings out the form and subtle design to the forefront of fashion with the unmatched intrigue of black. Black as a color or the lack of it is probably the only one that connects us to the universe as we see it and my subtle specks of silver and gold lie on the sky bed of black like stars in the sky. I am thrilled and inspired with what has come out,"

Friends of the designer Dia Mirza, Kalki Koechlin, Sona Mohapatra, Manasi Scott, Ira Dubey, Tillotama Shome, Sonali Kulkarni, Ahana Kumra, Mini Mathur, Mandira Bedi and Auritra Ghosh applauded Blur from the front rows.
