According to our 2022 global fashion trend analysis for data of buyers and consumers, measuring the number of men pants and suits during the Pandemic, consumers are focusing the styles and material that fits the home and work requirements.

The F-trends analysis found, relaxed outfits to play a leading role in the wardrobe in the upcoming few years and that to emerge as an Athflow fashion trend. Athflow fashion combines athleisure, elegance, and fluidity in our styles. The style demands a comfortable and fashionable balance between office dressing and daily styling.

Consumers look for a highly sophisticated and professional style for office style, while flexible and convenient for home activity, sports, and very comfortable. The material texture demand is for the soft and natural cotton, fleece, and wool to emphasize comfort and minimalism.

Tailored Brands now plans to lean even more heavily into relaxed clothes, though it still faces major obstacles. Right now demand for anything more formal than workout clothes is diminished.

The giant Hong Kong-based TAL Group, a supplier of dress shirts to companies such as Brooks Brothers and Charles Tyrwhitt, told Bloomberg it Brooks Brothers Shirt Supplier is Shifting to Face Masks which expects its business from April through December to be down 50% due to the Pandemic. Items such as dress stiletto shoes aren’t selling either due to pandemics. Ralph Lauren, which sells a lot of clothing for dressier occasions, said today its sales had plummeted 66% in its recent quarter compared to last year.

Since the start of the pandemic, luxury clothing companies to value stores have seen their sales drop due to store closings and shoppers reining in spending on only essentials. With the countless gyms and offices shut, the only category that’s offered the industry something of a bright spot is clothing you can wear during the workout or lounge in at home that we call either athflow or home leisure fashion items.

Asos, which sells gym clothes from the in-house line it launched in 2018 as well as other major brands, said its activewear sales roughly doubled in the four months through June 30 versus the same time last year. It also witnessed substantial growth in businesses of casual apparel and sneakers, boosting its total sales to rise 10% over the period despite the pandemic. Sales of evening dresses, formalwear, and day dresses all sank.

In a March 18 note emailed to stakeholders, investment firm Bernstein put it bluntly, saying the first half of 2020 is “likely going to be the worst in the history of the modern luxury goods industry.”

The luxury industry has seen significant disruptions before, including world wars and the 1918 Spanish Flu. But the industry’s present standard of globalized conglomerates relying on sales not just to the wealthy but, perhaps even more importantly, to burgeoning middle classes around the world has only existed since about the 1990s. Coronavirus is delivering the industry its greatest challenge—greater even than the 2008 recession.

Based on the Euromonitor International market research analyst, forecasts that US retail sales of men’s suits will plunge about 24% this year, falling to approximately $1.5 billion. Just five years ago, sales were $2.1 billion, but they’ve dropped steadily, even though worldwide sales of suits have managed to inch upward, helped along by growing appetites for clothes in countries such as China.

Comfort is the main selling feature of this season, and comfort-oriented home wear becomes the key item, which satisfies multi-occasional and unisex requirements. Advanced mix & match fitted high-neck pullover and basic languid sweatshirt with oversized silhouette can both easily realize the cross-seasonal concept. Street functional elements are applied to basic styles to increase practicality and functionality.
