Mumbai, 22nd August’ 18: Antar Agni by Ujjawal Dubey showcased their collection, "Begin" on day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week - Winter Festive 2018. The collection showcased the acceptance of the conventional, yet a departure from it—leading us to the sweet spot of rebellion versus tradition.

BEGIN.

“To break away,

yet embrace the mundane”

‘Begin’ is a representation of the stylised idea of festive classics, giving it a new age touch. Structured silhouettes with an exciting mix of subtle prints and deconstructed metallic embroideries made a statement on the runway. The color palette featuring dark shades of black, navy and military green added intensity to the line; stunning metallic details with hints of warm mustard lent an energetic and eclectic vibe. Staying attuned to the theme, the silhouettes encompassed a blend of layered drapes along with timeless classics—something that is synonymous with the Antar-Agni style. Letting the striking ensembles do all the talking, the hair and makeup looks were kept minimal, featuring a nude lip and sleek glossy hair.

Harmonious tunes of Indian instrumental and electronic music filled the room as the models strutted on the ramp. Complementing the intensity of Antar Agni's design aesthetic, the runway was divided into two ramps. While models walked down the runway in the designer's eclectic garments, performers dressed in black gave the impression of the two dynamic sides to every individual.

Brand friends such as Sumeet Vyas, Rasika Duggal, Ranvir Shorey, Sikander Kher and Gulshan Devaiah came out to support the designer.
