Trend forecasting course FAQs
The Trends and Foresight Masterclass series is an online and on-demand educational course into the latest techniques, strategies and methodologies used by global forecasters and consultancies to identify tomorrow’s big trends today.
Comprising 24 online modules, across three separate levels, each is backed up with easy-to-follow 15-minute video lectures led by Martin Raymond, co-founder of The Future Laboratory and author of The Trend Forecaster’s Handbook.
All modules contain downloadable PDFs about the key trends covered within each, along with selected podcasts with industry professionals, lesson summaries and further reading links.
At the end of each module, you can also take the interactive questionnaires to test your knowledge.
Each module and level should be approached sequentially to extract maximum value in terms of lessons and outcomes.
Each visual lecture should be listened to first, followed by reading the accompanying PDF notes, which have been written to expand on the insights and knowledge encapsulated in the lecture itself.
The accompanying links can then be used to find out more about the trends, behaviours or cultural communities that are covered in both.
Your reading resources list can then be used to expand on this thinking by introducing you to source texts, alternative viewpoints, or other industry blogs, white papers or academic texts designed to widen and deepen your understanding of more focused texts or methodologies we’ll be studying.
Finally, a multiple-choice test has been added to each module so that you can self-challenge your learning, memory and comprehension skills once all of the above has been digested.
Yes.F-trend will host regular live sessions, with accompanying Q&A time, so that he can update you on the latest thinking relating to each of the three levels covered.
Once you have signed up to the masterclasses, we’ll send you an email to book in to the live sessions with F-trend.
After completing all the modules of the Online Trends forecasting you will receive a Certificate of Achievement, which you can apply to your CV or LinkedIn profile to showcase your professional skills.
*Please note this is not a Certificate of Higher Education at university or diploma level.
