Second Menswear only runway show at Amazon fashion week AW16
New Delhi- today its 16th march and the most awaited runway show begins. This year along with normal runway show, there will be two menswear runway show that is dedicated to men's wear only. It is important to notice women's only runway shows has dominated in India's two biggest fashion event Lakme and FDCI since from last many decades. Its also imortant to know men's wear clothing is having more than 50% market share and with the time men's consumer are also looking for luxury fashion that is currently missing.
Second Menswear runway show
FDCI announced its second Men's runway show in association with Maybelline New York, for the autumn winter 16 will take place on March 18. Some of the India's eminent fashion designers, Ashish N Soni, Abhishek Gupta, JJ Valaya, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Bal, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Troy Costa and Varun Bahl will present their collections at the AIFW AW’16 on March 18 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road. Please also dont forget next day on 19th march there will be another Men's only fashion week, that will take place at 2.PM and the participant fashion designers are ANtar AGni, Divyam Mehta and Rohit Kamra.
According to sunil sethi the president of FDCI, “Menswear is steadily growing and seeing this rising trend we have introduced a second menswear show at AIFW AW16, on popular demand. A man’s wardrobe is now an integral part of the design narrative. Our coveted designers are showcasing a modernistic collection, which is bound to make an impact on the contemporary fashion repertoire.”
Today on wednesday the most awaited 2016's first runway shows shall kick off by 4 PM at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium which is near Lodhi Road. To keep you reminded its important to notice, the Nodia (U.P.) based studio, Varun Bahl shall open the show at 4PM. Varun Bahl is known for his expertise in indo-western fusion ensembles, with the innovative use of fabrics to create a dreamy love affair for today’s kind of customer- a reflection of elegance, avant-garde, non-conformist yet rooted in classics. Most of his clients swear his clothes are their heirlooms like jewellery because of their classic sensibility and incredible quality. Varun Bahl has also showcased his impeccable collection at Milan He was also chosen by Camera Nazionaledella Moda Italiana, Milano to showcase his SS '07 and AW '07/'08 at Milan Fashion Week, making him one of the first few Indian designers to have participated in the event.
